Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967 was an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly ((2000), The Cooler (3), A History of Violence (2004), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2009), Grown Ups (2010) and Prisoners (2013) were a few of her film roles. Bello has been on TV in roles such as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997), Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003) and A History of Violence (2005), Michelle McBride (2016) and Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane (2021-2021). Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. [7][8] In political science, Bello majored in political science at Villanova University. Bello developed her acting skills through a variety of New York theater productions following her graduation. Bello is the mother of Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend. [18] She wrote in November 2013 about her similar-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. The book she wrote was titled Whatever...Love Is a Love: The Truth Behind the Labels We Put on Ourself. (Dey Street Books. April 28 and 29, 2015).
