Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her role as the main character on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. In the final season of the show Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish and has claimed that she attends at  Passover seders.
