Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 until 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 as a political contributor for CNN. She worked on the re-election campaigns for Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was later appointed as deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki returned to politics in 2012 as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. The appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House on May 30 in 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. In the year 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and remained until the close of the Obama administration.
